Escentia – Impacting People, Organisations and Planet

Escentia’s raison d’etre is to enable individuals, teams and organisations to intentionally be the best that they can be.  But we’re also keen to do our bit for the Planet, which is why we have partnered with One Tree Planted (OTP), a non-profit organisation focused on global reforestation, who plant trees where they are needed most.

At Escentia, as a thank you to our clients, we plant trees, and the trees we plant together help to protect our planet, while transforming lives and empowering people through positive change.  This year we have planted 500 trees and our goal is to plant this number every year!

Why Trees?

Here are six reasons why trees are vital to the environment:

1. Air: trees help to clean the air we breathe, absorbing harmful pollutants and releasing clean oxygen
2. Water: trees play a key role in capturing rainwater and reducing the risk of floods and landslides
3. Biodiversity: a single tree can be home to hundreds of species of insect, fungi, moss, mammals and plants
4. Social Impact: trees provide food, timber for homes and fuel, and jobs within the forestry industry, from arborists to loggers and sustainable tree farming
5. Health: being in nature helps to reduce stress and anxiety (boosting mental health), as well as providing shade
6. Climate: trees help to cool the planet and our cities
