Summer Holidays – a Time for Reflection
Summer Holidays – a Time for Reflection
Published: 15th July 2024
Summer holidays are a great time for reflection
Do you often reflect on past key moments and experiences in your life and look at how they have affected your life today?…Why?…Because this reflection may serve to highlight the lessons from the past, and the stories that we’ve told ourselves (positive or negative). But also points to the things that have served us well and those which haven’t. Reflecting can also highlight the areas in our life that need more focus or may require change.
The Summer holidays are often a good time for pause and reflection, and an opportunity for us to be intentional about the way we move forwards. In your life and work, perhaps you could consider the following:
- what’s currently working well for you right now (which you should keep doing)?
- what areas in your life could you improve on?
- are there any new skills or activities that you know you should start doing?
- are there any things that are holding you back, which you know you should stop doing?
Maybe you need to be more courageous, find more meaning or clarity in the direction you’re taking? Maybe you need to connect more with friends and family, or redefine your boundaries to ensure better health and balance?
At Escentia, we know that new insights and inspiration come in those moments of pause and reflection, and we understand the importance of taking a look back in order to look forwards. That’s why we’ve created the ‘Back to the Future’ focus plan to help you. You can get the download here.
Living and Leading with Intention
At Escentia, we spend a lot of time talking about living and leading with intention. The new Escentia Programme for senior business leaders is a wonderful example of how we can all develop to be more intentional leaders – learn more about the programme Unlocking Your Leadership Growth Potential.
“It’s been an amazing journey of empowerment, enlightenment, self-reflection and clarity of purpose.”
