Excited to partner again with NHS Sutton Health & Care 

Escentia was delighted to again facilitate the “Big Tent Event” with the NHS Sutton Health & Care Trust, led by their leader Lucy Botting.  This annual, one day meeting is an important event in the Trust’s calendar and it was a lively event, where some 300 delegates from across 37 different services came together to celebrate team successes, engage with senior leader presentations and facilitated workshop sessions and experience an injection of some fun group energisers and activities.

At Escentia, we believe that there are 6 critical ingredients to enable sustainable leadership and team success: Clarity, Courage, Congruence, Connection, Coherence and Compassion. The Big Tent event is a good example of this. 

The event’s focus was on presenting the future vision for Sutton Health & Care with Clarity, and obtaining feedback from their teams. The event also sought the Courage of the teams to highlight the things that aren’t working/ could be done better, and how to ensure Congruence so that everyone is walking their talk.

The large in-person gathering provided an opportunity for Connection across the different teams, and a chance to reflect on team flexibility and successes – Coherence.  The Big Tent Event was also an important reminder of the need to practice Self-Compassion, in a profession that is centred on providing compassion to others.

Throughout the day, our fun group activities were used as a fundraiser, and together we managed to raise over £1,000 for the Sutton Health & Care Trust.
